Full Scale Musical Theatre Program
Each season we begin our 4 full scale production programs. Students attended improvisation, acting, score, character study, singing and dance classes each week which culminates in a full scale production in the springtime. Classes take place at the St. Stephen's Church or The North Castle Library. Grades K-12 and Adult.Improv & Song
Students work on Improvisation Skills, Theatre Games. Students will select their own song Song will be mastered and staged for a final production. Grades K-6. Application.
Cabaret Class
Students master the art of singing to an intimate audience. Students will pick their songs . Students will learn how to use patter in a Cabaret setting.Students master their songs. Performance takes place in a New York City Cabaret Club. Grades 6-Adults
Junior Program
This program is designed for students ages 3-5 years old. Students will participate in acting singing dance and movement. Each class is 1 hour long. Each session lasts 6 weeks and has a Disney theme. Sign up for various sessions or all the sessions throughout the year. Application.
Songwriting Class
Will instruct students how to write and create their own songs with music and lyrics. Vocal and instrumental arranging of a song. will be taught. Presentation of songs after final class. Application.
Mommy & Me
Indroduces children ages 2-3 years old to movement, fun, theatre, music. Child and caregiver will use use props and engage in light musical theatre. Application.
Adult Dance
Jazz IT UP - For Beginner/ Intermediate Adult. In this 8 week course students will learn vaious styles, Jazz, B'way, Lyrical. Funk, Latin. No dance background is required. Application.
Voice/Piano/Guitar/Drum Lessons
Individual half hour and hour classes are available weekly. Call to set up your individual private lesson schedule.
Armonk Idol Talent Show
Participants in the areas of voice, dance and instumental music will submit an application. Auditions will be held prior to the show. If selected, the finalists will be presented in a show that will feature the best talent in the tri-state area. The finalists will be judged and the selected winners will received prizes.
Summer Stock Intensive
3 week summer intensive- Acting, Song mastery, Dance. Full scale musical show at the end of session. In additon students will study the difference between film and stage acting . Students will write their own TV commercials. Their TV commercials will be professionally filmed. and shown on the last day of session. Theatre games, open mic sessions, and other camp like games will be incorporated during the session. Grades 1-5 and Grades 6-12Rock Band Ensemble
Guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard playing students will learn what it is like to play with other musicians in a band setting. Classes meet weekly.
Film
The Theatre Arts Workshop presents TV acting and writing class. Classes will focus on acting techniques for the camera and TV writing skills, and the session will be taped and aired on cable TV.
